The Demoucelle Parkinson Charity will hold its annual fundraising sale of tulip bulbs from the end of September to the beginning of December and is looking for many more volunteers prepared to sell 20 packets to friends, family, neighbours and colleagues in support of Parkinson’s disease research.

The international symbol for Parkinson’s disease is a tulip. This year, we have decided to sell two different organic bulbs this year:

                • Design Impression (pink, more traditional look)
                • Double Gudoshnik  (peach-y, fuller look)
“Selling these beautiful flower bulbs is a win-win for gardens, terraces and Parkinson’s research,” Anne-Marie Demoucelle said.

“The tulip bulb packets also make great gifts and people enjoy planting the bulbs with their children and grandchildren. In this way we also raise awareness about the world’s fastest-growing neurodegenerative disease and the need to accelerate research to find a cure.”

Each packet of 20 bulbs is sold for 20 euros and we aim to sell 1000 packets with the help of volunteers, pharmacies, medical centres and fitness gyms. The bulbs will be available from the end of September until early December and we hope that more people will join the volunteer sales team.
