We are excited to be launching our sixth annual ‘Tulips for Hope’ fundraiser this autumn and hope YOU will help us reach even more people, raising awareness about Parkinson’s disease and raising funds to help accelerate the discovery of a cure!

Thanks to the incredible support of volunteers and flower-lovers, our tulip bulbs have brought colour to gardens and raised over 60 000 euros for Parkinson’s research to date.

This year, we are expanding our selection of bulbs and we hope to also expand our network of ‘ambassadors’ prepared to sell our attractive packets to friends, family, colleagues and neighbours! We can’t do it without you!

Why Tulip bulbs?
The tulip is the international symbol for Parkinson’s disease—a flower that represents hope, resilience, and renewal. Just like planting bulbs in the autumn in order to enjoy its welcome splash of colour in the spring, we need to invest in research now in order to have cure in the future! Every bulb sold as part of ‘Tulips for Hope’ helps to fund vital research.

A Healthier Choice, A Meaningful Gift
This year, for our 6th anniversary edition, we’re offering three stunning tulip bulb varieties – all naturally grown without chemicals or pesticides. Among our selection are:

  • A dramatic pink and white-edged bowl-shaped tulip called ‘’Columbus’’ that was very popular when we sold it in 2023
  • A pretty, light-pink tulips with a white fringe called ‘’Siesta’’, and
  • A delicate yellow and white-fringed tulip called ‘’White Rebel’’.

“These tulips are more than flowers—they’re a symbol of hope. Grown without pesticides or chemicals, they’re beautiful for your garden and meaningful for Parkinson’s research,” said DPC volunteer Nikla Lancksweert. “Our attractive packets of bulbs make wonderful gifts and by selling them or buying them, you will be helping researchers get closer to a cure.”

Become a ‘Tulips for Hope’ ambassador!
We have a small, core group of people that help us sell our tulip bulbs this year, but we would like to reach more parts of Belgium and would therefore love to have more people joining the ‘sales’ team. There is no financial risk and no long-term commitment, just positive energy and purpose. Sell just 20 packets to friends, neighbours, colleagues, or family—it’s simple, joyful, and makes a real impact. Sign up via this link, or email nikla@demoucelle.com.

Or, perhaps your company could host a lunch-hour tulip sale? Our volunteers will gladly bring the stand—and the smiles!
