Passionate amateur photographer Yves Overlaq hosted an exhibition of some of his favourite photographs – ‘Women and Smartphones on 3 continents’ – with all profits from sales being donated to the Demoucelle Parkinson Charity in support of Parkinson’s research.

The exhibition was held at Belle Barrus in Groot-Bijgaarden, with the venue owner generously waiving their fee and serving drinks and tapas during the event.

Students from two schools – The International School of Brussels and The British School of Brussels – volunteered to help serve the guests.

Some 150 people attended the event over two evenings and 11,325 euros has been raised for Parkinson’s research so far. Further sales of the photographs may yet increase that total!

Thank you so much to Yves, his wife Veronique, and kind host Benedicte.
