  1. Define a very stretch but just realizable goal. One where the team thinks: ‘well – thàt would be a great achievement’

  2. Lay out a general plan as to how the goal can be achieved. The more the team helps define this roadmap, the more alignment you’ll get

  3. Make them feel accountable. Each for their part. If you take too much ownership, they’ll take less of it…

  4. Regularly show (and congratulate on) progress made, while also pointing out the areas that need further special attention

  5. Be there to support them. Show them those little ‘shortcuts’; give that piece of advice that will lift them to the next level.
